After graduating from CSU Monterey Bay in 2017, I began interning in the production department at Suncrest Nurseries for a new line of plants that launched in 2018. However, I wore many different “hats” once hired full-time. I also maintained records for Suncrest’s line of organic and Biodynamic® certified plants and worked on various marketing projects involving photography and desktop publishing software. Here is a small portfolio of projects I’ve worked on that also showcase my photography.

PLANT PRODUCTION

As an intern for the Biodynamic® program, I learned how to propagate plants and various ways and grow plants from seed to larger size pots. Later, I also helped to collect and maintain a seedstock, production records, and certification records.

CATALOG WORK

I took the cover and various insert photos shown here for the 2019 Suncrest plant catalog. The front outside and back inside cover photos are based on the organic and Biodynamic® program.

PLANT PHOTOGRAPHY

I took plant photos each week for various uses. My photos were used for the weekly availability email, the company’s website database of plants, social media, and other marketing products like the yearly catalog and company calendar.
