In the second year of my masters program, I started working as a marketing and communications assistant at the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP) in Costa Mesa, California. It was the perfect opportunity to practice the statistical programming and GIS skills I was learning in my program. I continue to pursue my interests in graphic design and science communication with my work at SCCWRP while also developing new data management and archiving skills.
FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT
I was a key player in designing the UX/UI for SCCWRP’s main open data portal on Esri.

AUTOMATED STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
I developed a custom R script to automate annual publication rate key performance indicators.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS)
I created the feature map for the SCCWRP 2021 Annual Report, as well as a few other maps and graphics.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
I used Adobe Illustrator to create vector graphics and diagrams.

DESKTOP PUBLISHING
I used Adobe InDesign to format the 2022 Urban Drainage Modeling conference program and draft fact sheets.
