Deep in Thought

I am a young woman who was born on an air base in the Philippines. I moved to South Carolina when a volcano erupted and later went on a cross-country road trip to live in Salinas, California. Despite the twists and turns in my academic experience, I am determined to find meaningful work and explore different environmental careers throughout my life. After graduating from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2017 I was hired at a local nursery and introduced to Biodynamic farming methods and philosophy. Since then I’ve discovered a profound sense of spirituality and appreciation for the healing relationship that can exist between humans and nature. After that I spent some time in Southern California studying conservation and restoration science while working as a communications assistant at a water research agency. Currently, I am an environmental scientist working on lead and copper regulations for drinking water. Someday I would like to design and build my own self-sustaining tiny house; exhibit more of my art; and write and illustrate a short graphic novel.

I’m quiet, friendly, and I have a strong work ethic. When it comes to art, sometimes I feel… visionary. I enjoy nature, cooking, photography, and cats. I would draw and go bowling in my younger years. Let me know if you want to know more! Thank you for stopping by!
